Position Objective
To support in coordination of the Health and Safety Manager within the school setting. This role does not
cover areas such as data protection or child protection.
Ensure all contractor complete H&S Training & provide proper certifiactions related to H&S when performs
their work at school
To be responsible for the implementation and operation of Catering Service, ensure their service is
maintained at highest quality
Responsibilities
The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of indeed to the Regional CEP so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third part services.

• To promote a positive health and safety culture within the School
• To ensure a clear, written health and safety policy for Catering Service has been developed, implemented, communicated and is updated regularly in accordance with legal obligations (alongside other appropriate guidance from the Cognita Region).
• To maintain liaison with other specialist health, safety and fire roles appointed within the School, to co-ordinate compliance actions.
• To disseminate information relevant to health and safety compliance, to key parties within the School when requested
• To ensure to record and keep in files H&S meeting's minutes, to be able to share to H&S Manager and communicty, if required
• To support H&S Manager in liaiso for any accident, incident or near miss occurrence. Ensuring thorough investigation, review, recording of information and escalation has been conducted.
• Ensure all accidents incidents, near misses and serious incidents are reported in a timely manner to appropriate persons including the Regional Health and Safety manager.
• To support the H&S Manager to liaise with all School Departments to ensure risk assessments are produced for tasks/activities within such areas, with information provided to relevant parties and regular review undertaken.
• Acting as a key contact for Contactor liaison and Catering Service and to co-operate with any enforcement agency such as local authority and audit, if required.
• To have supervision and training (both induction training and on-going training) in health and safety matters relevant to their specialist area for Contractor & Facilities Department member
• To support Health & Safety Manager ensure the regular update and close out of items from the Health and Safety audit and regular inspections
• To support H&S Manager in schools’ incidents and sickness matters related to staff, students, and the community that may require traveling to hospitals, apartments, etc., working with police, stakeholders, and flexibility in working hours to accommodate or respond to emergency situations with Head of Schools, MDs, HR, Health manager, and clinic team.

Position Requirements
• • Experience: Previous experience in facilities/ Catering management, with a good understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and incident investigation.
• Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of facilties, catering management & service satisfaction management
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills to effectively convey catering procedures to contractors
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and develop strategies for improvement.
• Internal Stakeholder Management
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve health and safety issues, as well as develop and implement preventive measures.
• Team Player: Collaborative attitude to work with different departments and teams to ensure a safe working environment.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing regulations and proactively update safety policies accordingly.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for safety management and reporting.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant experience
● Facilities Management background with Catering Management Experience is preferred
